Theoretically there ought to be a simple way to find the origin of a magnetic pulse through a series of AM Radios

The Amplitude Modulated Radio is one of the best tools that can be used to detect a magnetic pulse.  Equipment used to generate such a pulse might come under FCC regulation.

But one could theoretically place AM radios at different loci and triangulate where the pulse is coming from by when the radios experience a distortion or crackle.  Not only that but the magnitude of the crackle- how loud it is.

But there ought to be a more scientific and readily reproducible way to do it than that!  For example a device that could triangulate the exact direction and distance from you.  Whereby one would have the right to get a subpoena and warrant to search and destroy it?
